School Counseling
Corryton Elementary School offers a wide variety of counseling services that follow the American School Counseling Association's national model.

School Counselor: Jessy Alva
Ms. Alva has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and a Masters of Science in Professional School Counseling from Carson-Newman University. She has 13 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including camp, after-school care, special education, college and career advising, and inpatient residential care. This is her sixth year as a Professional School Counselor. She enjoys using her education and life experience to serve the school community in this role. Ms. Alva will be serving Brickey-McCloud Elementary and Corryton Elementary this year.
Ms. Alva is at Corryton Elementary on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
